To Be a Licensed Arborist
Terrell Lee grew up in Colorado Springs. His family has had property in Black Forest since the 1990s. He was here in 2013 when the Black Forest Fire took 509 homes — the most destructive wildfire in Colorado history at the time. He watched neighbors lose everything while other properties stood untouched. The difference, in most cases, wasn't luck. It was the trees around the house.
After that, he started noticing something: most homeowners in Colorado Springs had trees they were worried about, but nobody had ever sat down with them and explained the real risk. Not just "that tree looks bad" — but what it means for their insurance, what it means in a fire event, what it means structurally if it falls. So he became a licensed arborist. Not to cut trees. To give people honest answers about them.
When Terrell walks your property, he's not doing a sales call. He's doing what he'd do if a neighbor asked him to take a look — walking the lot, pointing out what's actually a hazard vs. what can wait, and giving you a straight answer whether it leads to a job for him or not. That's the only way he knows how to do it.
